sponsors two major fund raising events each year: The Porsche
Car Raffle in the spring and The Annual DFI Golf Outing in the
fall.
Porsche 911 Carrera
Raffle --- In accordance with
the regulations of the New Jersey State Legalized Games of Chance
Control Commission, the Foundation raffles off a new Porsche
911 Carrera in the spring. Only 3,000 tickets are sold
at $70.00 each.
The Foundation sells tickets:
..... at the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center in New York City; and
..... via mail, fax and telephone to our mailing list of previous
ticket purchasers. Prior year raffle winners have come from Connecticut,
Texas, New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Porsche Raffle
Annual Golf Outing --- Each September,
the Foundation organizes a golf outing at the Ridgewood
Country Club, rated among the top 100 courses in the USA
by Golf Digest and GolfMagazine, a "Tillinghast" designed
course which hosted the 2001 Senior PGA Open, the 1990 US Senior
Open and the 1935 Ryder Cup. Each year, over 200 golfers participate
in this day, which concludes with a festive dinner.

--- The Diabetes Foundation
receives donations from the general public in honor of or in
memory of loved ones, planned gifts/bequests and from its membership
list. The Foundation also sells calendars in support of Camp
Nejeda.
