Matched Funding for The Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Club

The Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Club (JDAC) was created by Sarah Yourman in 2004 as a high school freshman at Fair Lawn High School.

JDAC's goal is to raise funds to permit children with diabetes, who otherwise might not be able to afford it, to attend Camp Nejeda in Stillwater, NJ, a summer camp for children with diabetes, accredited by the American Camping Association and approved by the New Jersey Department of Health. Sarah, who also has Cystic Fibrosis, has attended the camp for several years and wants to give others the same opportunity. DFI matches certain fund raising efforts of the JDAC.
