Public Education

"The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge
and the dissemination of truth"
John F. Kennedy

The Diabetes Foundation hosts a series of public education meetings throughout the year. At these free seminars, health care professionals present up-to-date information about meal planning, exercise, and other topics that are essential to living a healthier life with diabetes.

Meetings are held at the Ridgewood Public Library, Ridgewood, NJ on the first Wednesday of every other month. Dr. Martin Blechman, Diabetes Foundation Trustee and Diabetologist, arranges guest speakers and often acts as moderator. Press releases are sent to local newspapers. Flyers are printed and sent to our database of attendees from previous Public Education seminars.
